Full-Service Painting Contractors

Residential Painting

Painting your dream house is not just a matter of applying paint to the walls, but it involves many aspects, such as pressure cleaning, preparation of different surfaces and components, caulking and waterproofing of joints susceptible to potential water intrusion, and application of appropriate primer.

Choosing higher-quality finish coat paint in residential painting, which contains more premium pigments and resin, can save you money as you are going to need less paint because it’s a better-quality coating.

The average life of good quality paint in residential painting is five years. Today, many homeowners use environmentally smart low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) paint products.

Color schemes and type of finish (Flat, Satin/Eggshell, Semigloss, or Gloss) are also very important as they will positively highlight the best features of your residential painting project.

Most importantly, selecting an experienced, licensed, and insured painting contractor is paramount. Before hiring a contractor, be sure to ask for their credentials.

High Rise Painting

There are several challenges in the high-rise painting of buildings. First and foremost is the issue of safety in painting these towering structures.

The use of a well-experienced skilled painting crew is extremely important in tackling mid-rise or high-rise painting and waterproofing projects.

Skilled and knowledgeable high-rise painting crews have a great understanding of setting up and securing swing stages using ropes, cables, clamps, and fall protection systems consisting of personal fall arresters, guard rails, etc.

Pressure cleaning, concrete restoration, coating application, caulking, and waterproofing are tedious processes requiring extra attention and precise execution.

Another important aspect of mid-rise and high-rise painting is the use of proper safety signs and barricades protecting the well-being of people nearby.

Industrial Painting

Industrial painting contractors use a variety of methods when coating surfaces with paint. Unlike residential painting, there are many more ways to lay down a layer of paint than just by applying by roller or brush.

Here at Apadana Group Inc., we understand that the surfaces in industrial painting require a lot more preparation.

Preparation is the key to proper long-lasting paint applications. If the surfaces to be painted have not had paint applied previously, then the process is somewhat easier.

If a previous coat exists, then its removal is usually required through SANDBLASTING, CHEMICAL STRIPPING, or INFRARED HEATER (for lead paint removal).

These methods in themselves are skills that need an expert touch. Apadana Group Inc. has the knowledge and skills required to assure you receive an expert industrial painting job!

Surfaces can be prepared by using ultrahigh-pressure water jets, or water jetting, as it is also known. This has both a washing and a blasting effect, which can remove grit and dust as well as any other loose particles.

Water jetting leaves a surface cleaner than any of the other methods of preparation. It can be used in all weather and it has no adverse environmental effects.

Abrasive preparation is also used by industrial painting contractors and is a method that Apadana Group Inc. is highly skilled in using.

This can be dry, wet, or a combination of wet and dry. In this way rust, grit, dust, and chemicals can easily be removed to leave a virgin surface ready for the paint application.

When sufficient care and attention are taken over the preparation process, the painting process is made easier with a greater likelihood of a successful outcome.

In industrial painting, applying the paint with a brush or roller is not the only option. The following are different industrial painting options.

Powder Coating

A process where particles of dry paint have an electrostatic charge applied before being positioned on a grounded surface.

The particles are held on the surface by electrostatic attraction. Heat is then applied, which allows the powder coating to flow together and be cured in place.

For powder coating to work, it is of course necessary for the surface being treated to be electrically conductive.

Originally this meant only metal surfaces. However, recent technological advances have meant that other surfaces, including such unlikely ones as plastic and wood, can now also be treated in this way.

Coil Coating (Roll Coating)

Coil or “Roll” coating is a high-speed method of applying a coating of paint to a metal surface. Coil coating is a continuous process, which is why it is a fast method.

Coil coating typically is the most cost-effective and energy-efficient process for the application of paint to metal surfaces. In addition, the coil coating application process is more environmentally sensitive than some other processes.

Spray Coating

Spray coating is a more common way to apply paints onto a surface, and as such, it is extensively used by industrial painting contractors. Spray coating can also deliver resins and sealants effectively under pressure.

Industrial painting contractors like Apadana Group Inc. have to keep on top of all the latest developments.

They need to be versatile and flexible, being able to offer a wide range of preparation processes, as well as a wide range of coating techniques and methods.
